Storage Media

As backup and archive environments become more complex, the need for capacity and manageability continues to grow. That’s why the DLTtape S4 cartridge offers massive capacity and fully leverages the DLTSage Management Suite, giving IT professionals the tools they need to protect, secure and manage their data. DLTSage includes DLTSage Tape Security, which prevents unauthorized access to data on tape cartridges, including those that must be transported offsite. In addition to providing data security, DLTSage offers DLTSage WORM (Write Once Read Many) capability to address regulatory requirements and DLTSage management and monitoring tools to help assess the health of your DLT system.

Exhaustively tested, HPE LTO Ultrium cartridges meet all your demands for maximum reliability when restoring data, offering high storage density, ease of management and scalable storage and backup performance. Covering seven generations of capacity - LTO-1 (200 GB), LTO-2 (400 GB), LTO-3 (800 GB), LTO-4 (1.6 TB), LTO-5 (3 TB), LTO-6 (6.25 TB), LTO-7 (15 TB) – and with transfer speeds of up to 2.5 TB/hr for LTO-7, there is a platform for every need and budget.

HP DLT/SDLT Data Cartridges offer high capacity and low cost per GB for customers with existing investments in DLT backup technology. HP SDLT II cartridges support DLTSage for improved media and drive diagnostics, enabling IT managers and network staff to better manage, predict and proactively prevent backup problems.

Sony’s LTO6 Tape cartridges feature a storage capacity of 2.5TB (native) to 6.25TB (compressed), with higher transfer rates of 160 MB/s(native) to 400MB/s(compressed). The new cartridge is manufactured with fine magnetic particles and a higher thermal stability binder. In order to maximize performance, an improved dispersing technology for these particles was introduced.

The IBM LTO6 Tape is enhanced media cartridge that has the huge capacity with more security to information and archival data. These statistics are astonishing since the first LTO-1 Ultrium tape introduced 13 years ago. The unbelievable 2.5TB native and 6.25TB compressed data storage capacity can preserve on a small cartridge. In addition to the remarkable and rapid data, transfer speed increased by 160MB/Sec native and 400MB/Sec compressed data with excellent improved 2.5:1 Compression Rate

Quantum LTO4 mixed with linear, bi directional arrangement and multi channel formats with enhanced Servo technology, track layout, data compression, and failure protection adjustment. These results are a dependable and completely trustworthy cartridge that offers exceptional performance and almost the double the storage capacity of LTO 3 data storage tapes. Quantum LTO4 provides better coating techniques with excellent and most significant, great formulation of particularly fine metal particles with higher dispersion system and generates an excellent base film. That is able to hold 896 data tracks with 820M long tape and 12.65mm wide, Quantum LTO-4 also enhanced recording density with inspiring enlarged data storage capacity 800GB native and 1600GB compressed with quick and reliable data transfer speed of 120MB/Sec native and 240MB/Sec compressed.

Sony AIT (Advanced Intelligent Tape) format is intelligently engineered to stand apart - no other tape cartridge features both an MIC chip (the brains) and a pure metal magnetic layer designed for highest capacity and longevity (the brawn). MIC (Memory in Cassette) - The AIT cartridges feature a built-in flash memory chip that stores directory and operational information. The result is rapid access to desired data and greatly reduced loading and ejection times. Sony AIT-2 Tape Cartridge is a reliable part of AIT (Advanced Intelligent Tape) is a proprietary advanced technology developed by Sony. AIT is an ideal for small and medium size businesses that necessitate soaring capacity, high performance storage cartridge through shortened on-spot storage space

The AIT format employs Sony's highly regarded magnetic recording technology for commercial recording devices. AIT is superior in reliability and performance to all other data-storage media in the world. The SDX2-50W cartridge features the newly developed non-contact R-MIC (Remote Memory In Cassette) system, in which IC-card memory technology is used to enable faster and easier control
