Cisco 880 Series Integrated Services Routers
The Cisco 880 Series Integrated Services Routers (ISRs) combine Internet access, security, voice, and wireless services onto a single, secure device that is simple to use and manage for small businesses and enterprise small branch offices and teleworkers. The Cisco 880 Series delivers features including firewall, content filtering, VPNs, and wireless LANs (WLANs) at broadband speeds to small offices. Easy deployment and centralized management features enable enterprises or service providers to deploy the Cisco 880 Series in small branch offices or small businesses.

Cisco 880 Series Integrated Services Routers are fixed-configuration routers that provide collaborative business solutions for secure voice and data communication to small businesses and enterprise teleworkers. They offer concurrent broadband services over third-generation (3G), Metro Ethernet, and multiple DSL technologies to provide business continuity. Wireless 802.11n and 3G offer LAN and WAN mobility. The routers provide the performance required for concurrent services, including firewall, intrusion prevention, content filtering, and encryption for VPNs; optional 802.11g/n for mobility; and quality-of-service (QoS) features for optimizing voice and video applications. In addition, the web-based Cisco Configuration Professional configuration tool simplifies setup and deployment. Centralized management capabilities give network managers visibility and control of the network configurations at the remote site.

Cisco ASR 1000 Series Aggregation Services Routers aggregate multiple WAN connections and network services including encryption and traffic management, and forward them across WAN connections at line speeds from 2.5 to 200 Gbps. The routers contain both hardware and software redundancy in an industry-leading high-availability design. The latest addition to the Cisco ASR 1000 Series is the Cisco ASR 1002-HX router. The new router supports up to 100 Gbps in a 2-rack-unit (2RU) form factor. It also has 8 built-in 10-Gigabit Ethernet (GE) ports and 8 1-GE ports, with the Ethernet port adapter (EPA) slot for expansion. The Cisco ASR 1000 Series supports Cisco IOS® XE Software, a modular operating system with modular packaging, feature velocity, and powerful resiliency. The Cisco ASR 1000 Series Embedded Services Processors (ESPs), which are based on Cisco Flow Processor™ technology, accelerate many advanced features such as crypto-based access security; Network Address Translation (NAT), thread defense with Cisco Zone-Based Firewall (ZBFW), deep packet inspection (DPI), Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE), and a diverse set of data-center-interconnect (DCI) features. These services are implemented in Cisco IOS XE Software without the need for additional hardware support.

The Cisco ASR 1000 Series 10-N-Gbps ESP (ASR1000-ESP10-N) is the nonencryption version of the Cisco ASR 1000 Series 10-Gbps ESP (ASR1000-ESP10). The Cisco ASR 1000 Series 10-N-Gbps ESP can only support noncrypto Cisco IOS Software images and will never support encryption capabilities such as IP Security (IPsec). In future releases, the Cisco ASR 1000 Series 10-N-Gbps ESP may support secured network management features such as Secure Shell (SSH) Protocol, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), and Simple Network Management Protocol Version 3 (SNMPv3).

The Layer 3 Cisco 1- and 2-Port Fast Ethernet High-Speed WAN interface cards (HWICs) (see Figures 1 and 2) supported on the Cisco 1841, Cisco 2800, and Cisco 3800 Series Integrated Services Routers offer small-to-large-sized businesses and enterprise branch-office customers the option to add Layer 3 routed ports with many advanced features, including quality-of-service (QoS) and rate-limiting capabilities. The Cisco Fast Ethernet HWICs are singlewide interface cards, available as a 1-port HWIC (HWIC-1FE) and as a 2-port HWIC (HWIC-2FE), that provide Cisco modular and integrated services routers with additional Layer 3 routed ports.

The 8-port asynchronous HWIC (HWIC-8A), illustrated in Figure 3-9, provides 8 asynchronous RS-232 interfaces in DTE format, at data rates of up to 230.4 kbps.

The multi-charger is ideal for environments in which users have multiple shifts and must keep their Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phones 7925G charged throughout the day. The multi-charger can charge up to six phones and six phone batteries simultaneously. Its flexible design allows the unit to be placed on a desk or mounted on a wall to save space.

The Cisco Unified IP Phone 6911 supports two incoming calls with a single-line endpoint. A full-duplex speakerphone is included in the design, which provides a more productive, flexible, and easier-to-use endpoint experience.
